Now that he is famous, people can say what they will about Meek Mill. However, the case is that Philadelphia had been forgotten before he was signed by Rick Ross. Meek Mill took his talents to Miami and he has not looked back. Meanwhile, the industry has started paying attention to Philadelphia, once again.

Meek Mill delivered consistent strong projects with Dreamchasers, the sequel mixtape, and Dreams and Nightmares. Tone Trump would get signed by Young Jeezy to CTE during this period of time and Trel Mack caught the attention of many. Cassidy also managed to make a comeback off Meek Mill.

During his interview with The FADER, Meek Mill spoke on the musical history of Philadelphia. While he has helped return the city to prominence, Meek Mill mentioned being proud to add to his city’s legacy. Meek Mill also spoke on what inspires the music he makes.
