Megan Thee Stallion may sue media outlets for misinformation
On Thursday, Tory Lanez’s trial surrounding him allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion, reached deliberation. Many believed that a verdict had been reached, but that wasn’t the case. That came after various outlets posed court documents stating what Tory was and wasn’t guilty of.
Many have since condemned misinformation such as this, on social media. Megan’ legal team is also exploring legal options against individuals in media spreading this info, according to NBC News. This includes possible lawsuits. Megan’s attorney Alex Spiro confirmed this.
If convicted, Tory could face 22 years and eight months in prison. During this trial, he hasn’t testified, at all. This may be due to the fact that his lyrics from his songs, as well as visuals from his music videos, could be used against him.
Tory is accused of shooting Megan in her feet, back in July 2020. He had left a party at Kylie Jenner’s home, as Megan was with him, as well as Meg’s former friend, Kelsey Harris. Kelsey admitted in her testimony that she gave incorrect info to prosecutors, due to not remembering much of the night of the shooting.
