Megan Thee Stallion released her new ‘Suga‘ EP last week after she started her ongoing legal battle with the 1501 Certified Entertainment record label that she’s signed to. She originally said that they weren’t letting her put out new music and she revealed that she didn’t understand the terminology in the contract that she signed when she was 20-years-old.
Thanks to a restraining order granted by a Texas judge, Megan was able to release the nine-track EP which featured the new single “B.I.T.C.H.’ Other rising tracks on this project are “Savage” and “Captain Hook.” First-week sales were reported by Hits Daily Double at a low 43,882 while Billboard states that she’s at 41,000.
Despite the low sales, Megan is still in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. This accomplishment now makes her the first female rapper to have two non-studio albums in the top 10 ranking, according to Chart Data. The other project was her ‘Fever‘ mixtape which was released last May and featured hits such as “Realer” and “Cash S*it” featuring DaBaby. She is currently still working on her debut album.
