Megan Thee Stallion gets her own day in Houston and key to the city
Over the past three years, Megan Thee Stallion has been one of the biggest artists in the world. Megan’s 2018 “Big Ole Freak” single took off in February 2019, and the only way for her was up, from that point. Megan has since created plenty more hit records and collaborations, as well as Grammy wins.
Megan Thee Stallion was also honored in her hometown of Houston, on Sunday. Houston mayor, Sylvester Tuner officially declared that May 2 is “Megan Thee Stallion Day,” in their city. Also, Megan Thee Stallion received the keys to the city of Houston. As a result, Meg has her own holiday.
“Came home real quick to get THEE KEY TO THEE CITY 🤘🏾 and in honor of my mother and grandmother’s birthday MAY 2ND is officially MEGAN THEE STALLION DAY IN HOUSTON TX🔥🔥🔥 thank you Mayor @sylvesterturner for honoring me today and I will continue to give back to the city that made me who I am today 💙 “
Last month, Megan also delivered her first single of 2022, “Plan B.” She previously performed this song at Coachella, the week before, and it was soon met with high demand to be released on streaming platforms.
