Essence Festival reveals upcoming 2023 lineup
Essence Festival continues to be one of the biggest festivals in the United States, every summer. In 2023, they’re returning to New Orleans, as it’ll take place from June 29-July 3.
As a result, Essence Fest revealed their full lineup, on Wednesday. Among those hitting the stage to perform, will be Megan Thee Stallion, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Coco Jones, and much more.
Hill’s set is in honor of the 25th anniversary of her classic debut studio album, “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.” Megan has also been trending, due to breaking her social media hiatus. Missy Elliott recently appeared in a Doritos commercial for the Super Bowl, with Jack Harlow. Meanwhile, Coco Jones has also been emerging as an R&B star, and also appears in the Peacock series “Bel-Air”
In addition to these performances, there will also be 50th anniversary of hip-hop sets, curated by Doug E Fresh, Jermaine Dupri, Angie Martinez, and others.
However, much more performers and hosts will be added to the Essence Festival lineup, according to the latest announcement made by the festival, on social media. Talent is also subject to change, leading up to the scheduled summer dates.
