Megan Thee Stallion named Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at BET Awards

Megan Thee Stallion has established herself as one of the biggest stars in the music industry, since 2019. Her 2018 “Big Ole Freak” single blew up, that year, and the only place left to go was up, for the H-Town Hottie.  Megan has also released plenty of major projects since then, as well.

On Sunday night, Megan also took home another major award, at the 2022 BET Awards. This was in the category of Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. Other nominees included Nicki Minaj, Saweetie, Latto, Doja Cat, and Cardi B.

In 2021, Megan had one of the hottest hits of the year, in “Thot Sh*t” That even went on to get nominated at this year’s Grammys, for Best Rap Performance.

In April, Megan went on to release her first single of 2022, with “Plan B.” Megan initially revealed that song a week before its release, by performing it at Coachella. Fans hope that her sophomore album will be out sometime this year, as well.

This weekend, Megan also performed at the Glastonbury Festival, in England. There, she used her platform to bash the U.S Supreme Court, for overturning Roe V. Wade, this weekend. Megan led the crowd in “My Body, My Motherf*cking Choice” chants.
