Megan Thee Stallion to perform at Beyoncé‘s Houston concert
Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming performance at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City’s Central Park was supposed to take place on this Saturday. However, some conflicting obligations are now canceling that performance.
According to Page Six, Megan is canceling her Global Citizen performance in order to perform at Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour concert. This is taking place at NRG Stadium, which is in both of their hometown of Houston. Megan is also reportedly performing one song.
A statement of the Global Citizen cancellation read “Hi there — due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Megan Thee Stallion will no longer be available to perform at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival.” Furthermore, sources close to this situation claimed that it was as a result of an “inadvertent duplicate scheduling” mistake by Megan’s team.
Beyoncé’s concerts in Houston will be the first of two straight nights. This is expected to be one of the most electric nights of the Renaissance Tour, due to Bey being back in her hometown. The tour initially kicked off back in May, starting off with the European leg of it. The first show was held in Stockholm, Sweden.
