Megan The Stallion was definitely one of the biggest breakout stars of 2019 as it all started when her 2018 single “Big Ole Freak” blew up in February. She followed the success of that record with her “Fever” mixtape in May with featured hits such as “Realer” and “Cash S*it” feat. DaBaby. Her “Hot Girl Summer” single featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign also made a lot of noise in August.

Megan has since released her new “B.I.T.C.H” single to kick off 2020 which samples 2Pac’s “Ratha Be Ya N*gga” record off of his “All Eyez On Me album from 1996. Fans are anticipating Megan’s long awaited debut studio album there may be a delay. The Houston rapper took to her Instagram this afternoon to say the independent label she’s been with since 2015, 1501 Certified Ent, won’t let her release any new music right now.

Sadly, Megan admitted that when she signed the contract with 1501, she didn’t read all of it as she said she was only 20 at the time when she got with them. Now, she said she wanted to renegotiate her contract but 1501 isn’t with it. Megan also thinks that they only care about money and it’s a greedy game.

Megan went on to say if we don’t hear any more music from her soon, it’s because it’s all 1501’s fault. For those who aren’t familiar with this label, it is based in Houston and founded by former MLB All-Star, Carl Crawford. For Megan, she also has a management deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation label that she signed last year.

Megan stressed the fact that all she wants to do is work and put out music and it’s crazy that 1501 is doing this. She also put out a PSA to upcoming artists that they need to read all contracts and get their own lawyers.
