Megan Thee Stallion’s “Big Ole Freak” and “Captain Hook” Singles Eligible For 2x Platinum Certifications in The US

Megan Thee Stallion continues to be one of the most dominant artists in the game and her accomplishments this spring helped prove that. She scored three Grammy wins as that was based on the massive success experienced in 2020, most notably with her “Savage” remix feat. BeyoncĂ©.

One record that garnered a lot of attention last year was “Captain Hook.” This originally appeared on Megan’s “Suga” EP, which dropped that March. It began to make a lot of noise and then, all of a sudden reached a platinum certification in the US. Now, is is reportedly eligibly for 2x platinum status in the US, per Megan Charts. This is after selling 2 million units.

Another single of Meg’s that is hitting 2x platinum is “Big Ole Freak.” This is the record that helped her take off as a star in February 2019. It was initially released in June 2018 on her “Tina Snow” EP, though. Big Ole Freak eventually went on to peak at number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Megan has since ended up announcing her music hiatus at the end of April. She still posts content on her social media feeds though as she reveals latest collaborations and other news. Many anticipate that she will release her “Good News” deluxe edition album when she is back to the music though due to her being seen in her outfit from the original album cover for her hiatus announcement.
