Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” remix featuring Beyoncé that released at the end of April ended up being the No. 1 song in the country before May ended as on Friday, it was certified 2x platinum by the RIAA. The original version appeared on her ‘Suga‘ EP which was released in March.

Megan originally broke out as a star last February as her 2018 single, “Big Ole Freak,” started to take off. This record originally appeared in her ‘Tina Snow‘ mixtape in the summer of 2018. It eventually turned her into a star and now, it has finally been certified platinum by the RIAA, according to Chart Data. This is after it eclipsed over 1 million units sold.

The Houston rapper ended up keeping the momentum going after Big Ole Freak took off as she released her ‘Fever‘ mixtape in May of 2019. That featured hits such as “Realer” and “Cash S*it” feat. DaBaby. She also concluded the summer with her “Hot Girl Summer” single feat. Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
