Back in March, Megan Thee Stallion released her first project of 2020 with her “Suga” EP. this was led by her “B.I.T.C.H.” single which sampled 2Pac’s 1996 “Ratha Be Ya N*gga” song from 1996. “Savage” was the biggest record from this EP but “Captain Hook” also generated a lot of noise.
Captain Hook is still a fan-favorite and it shows as it has now been certified platinum by the RIAA in the US, according to Chart Data. This is after selling 1 million units. This is another popular sexual record by Megan that definitely appealed to the ladies and is in rotation for many of them today. Captain Hook also peaked at No. 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Suga as a whole did very well commercially as it debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart. “Ain’t Equal” and “Stop Playing With Me” featuring Gunna were also very underrated records from this project. Now, fans await Megan’s debut studio album.
