Megan Thee Stallion’s Latest Hit Single, “Thot Sh*t,” Goes Gold

Back in late April, Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she would be going on a music hiatus. Her social media feeds were still being updated with content, though. Megan’s hiatus didn’t last very long as early last month, she returned with her new “Thot Sh*t” single.

Thot Sh*t also had a music video released the same night, as that was a viral hit as well. Fans of the H-Town Hottie believed that it was one of the most entertaining visuals of the year, and is just as popular as the Thot Sh*it record itself. Now, this single has just hit a new milestone.

According to Chart Data, Thot S*it has sold over 500,000 units in the US. That now makes it eligible for a gold certification. This was almost inevitable, as fans were anxious to see what new music that Megan would deliver, after her brief hiatus.

Megan has had another epic year for herself. In March, she scored three wins out of the four awards she was nominated for at the GRAMMYs. In May, she won the award for Top Rap Female Artist. Last month at the BET Awards, Megan took home the awards for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best Collaboration and Video of The Year for her appearance in Cardi B’s “WAP” single, along with the Coca-Cola Viewer’s Choice Award for the “Savage” single feat.
