Followers of FOX’s cancelled series, “The X Factor,” may remember when Alexandra Burke competed. It turns out, she is the daughter of a music industry veteran. Her mother is none other than Melissa Bell, who rubbed shoulders with music’s elite.

Melissa Bell was a member of Soul II Soul, a group that made music from 1993-1995. Back then, Melissa Bell worked with many memorable legends and icons. Only naming a few, Whitney Houston, Liza Minnelli, and Stevie Wonder were some of the people she worked with.

Yesterday afternoon, Melissa Bell’s daughter, Alexandra Burke, took to her Instagram with devastating news. Unfortunately, Melissa Bell passed away, yesterday. There are rumors of Melissa Bell being a victim of Type 2 Diabetes.
