Truth be told, Carmelo Anthony had a legacy with the Denver Nuggets, and he was on his way to holding all the important franchise records. It was the 2010 free agency that messed things up. Every 2003 draft class player wanted to make a big move, Melo included.

The New York Knicks missed out on Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, but Amare Stoudemire signed. Not done, the Knicks pulled off a trade for Carmelo Anthony. Injuries ended Amare’s career, meanwhile the consistency wasn’t there with Melo’s Knicks to contend.

Often, there are questions of how Carmelo Anthony ended up out of the league, that’s why. That run with the Thunder is one most would rather forget, but it left Melo out of the league. With that being said, Twitter is rightfully happy to see Carmelo Anthony back, with his Portland Trail Blazers deal.
