On Twitter, there is a real debate going on, over who the “real” Melo is in the NBA. Honestly, this is just another old vs. young argument. No disrespect to LaMelo Ball, but this one isn’t even a debate, Carmelo Anthony.
In 2003, Carmelo Anthony was drafted to the NBA’s worst team, the Denver Nuggets. His rookie year, he led them to the playoffs. They never missed the playoffs, and were two wins from the NBA Finals, within six years.
It was from 2003-2009, when Carmelo Anthony developed into an NBA superstar, and a future Hall of Famer. His legacy was completed, as Melo became just as commonly used as his actual name. On Twitter, they are debating, as LaMelo Ball is a current beast, and Melo is his name, too.
