Metro Boomin earns second straight number one studio album, with “Heroes & Villains”

Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains” debuts at number one in US 

Last week, Metro Boomin finally released his highly anticipated ”Heroes & Villains” album. Fans were treated to 15 songs, including star-studded features from Young Thug, Gunna, Future, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, A$AP Rocky, Takeoff, Travis Scott, and more.

Metro received tons of praise on social media, as many fans even proclaimed it as one of the best albums of 2022. Early projections also had Metro scoring his second straight number one studio album.

According to Chart Data, Metro is on top again. Heroes & Villains is debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, with 180,000 units sold in its first week. It leaped over Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” album, which still sold 140,000 units this week, two months after its release.

Metro’s last studio album came back in October 2018, which was “Not All Heroes West Capes.” At that time, Metro had established himself as one of the best producers in the industry, over the past half decade. Heroes & Villains is also his third straight number one album overall. In October 2020, he went on to debut at the top spot with 21 Savage, as they released the joint album “Savage Mode II.
