When it comes to mega producers, Metro Boomin is a name that holds incredible weight. Producing multiple number one singles and helping craft the sound of Southern rap, he is a legend of this generation. In 2023 alone he produced Lil Durk’s Almost Healed, Travis Scott’s Utopia and Young Thug’s Business is Business. Aside from producing some of the biggest songs in rap, he also produced the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. As the most requested producer in the music world, Metro Boomin is named Producer of the year by Variety.

Pushing the sound of Atlanta into mainstream, Metro helped craft an entirely different sound and movement. He helped create multiple mega hits like “Jumpman” by Drake and Future, “Tunnel Vision,” by Kodak Black, “Bank Account” by 21 Savage and “Bad and Boujee” by the Migos. Other notable collaborations include Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, Young Jeezy and so many others. In addition to creating successful singles, he also produced the 2023 lobby theme track for Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 4; Season OG.

For his next project, Metro is once again collaborating with Future on a possible joint album. Although neither have confirmed or denied new music, Metro took to social media to share a picture of him and Future in the studio. With an incredible resume growing by the second, Metro Boomin is well deserving of the title Producer of the Year.
