Metro Boomin officially earns third straight number one album, with “Heroes & Villains”

Metro Boomin has third number one album with “Heroes & Villains” 

Over a week ago, Metro Boomin released one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year. This was with his sophomore album, “Heroes & Villains.” This project contained 15 songs, including collaborations with Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, Gunna, John Legend, Takeoff, A$AP Rocky, and more.

Initial projects had Heroes & Villians easily debuting at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. Now, that is officially a done deal. According to Chart Data, this becomes Metro’s third straight number one solo studio album, with 185,000 units sold in its first week.

Heroes & Villains also his third straight number one overall, as he and 21 Savage debuted at number one together, in 2020, with “Savage Mode II.” Metro’s last solo studio album came back in October 2018, with his chart-topping “Not All Heroes Wear Capes.

Metro was initially supposed to release Heroes & Villains in November, but was delayed due to sampling issues. The wait only had fans generating even more anticipation, as many view every collaboration on this album as a hit. Metro had also been dealing with the death of his mother in the process of creating this album, as that was unfortunately the result of a domestic dispute, which led to her boyfriend also taking his own life.
