Metro Boomin receives key to city of hometown of St. Louis
Over the past year, Metro Boomin has even more massive success. In December 2022, the producer released his sophomore album, “Heroes & Villains.” As a result, this project went on to become his second straight number one solo album in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. Moreover, Metro also collaborated with Future, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, Chris Brown, and much more. Furthermore, this past summer, he also executive produced the “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” movie soundtrack.
Meanwhile, Metro is also now being honored in his hometown of St. Louis. According to TMZ, he received the Key to the City, on Thursday. He was joined by his family, as well as St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. December 14 is also now recognized as “Leland ‘Metro Boomin’ Wayne Day” in St. Louis.
In addition to this honor, Metro also went on to continue to help single mothers. As a result, this is Metro’s Metro’s 7th “Single Moms Are The Real Superheroes” campaign. This is now being renamed as Leslie Joanne Single Mothers And Caregivers Appreciate Day,” which is in honor of his mother, who passed away in 2022. This event was in partnership with Amazon Access and Rung for Women, as this initiative assists single mothers with career coaching, skills training, and other resources.
