MGM properties have had struggles, over the past weekend. Many customers complained about not being able to use their key chips to enter their rooms. After other complications, further research was taken by MGM. The company soon released a statement, where they announced they were hit with some form of cyber attack. Obviously, this is concerning for the consumers.

MGM is one of the biggest hotel resorts in the United States. Las Vegas is one of the nation’s most iconic cities. Much of the famous Las Vegas strip is controlled by MGM. In addition, millions of people from all over the world flock to Vegas. As a result, a bulk of these people wind up booking rooms at an MGM-owned property. This means many people have risked their information being compromised.

MGM alerted people with some concerning news, this morning. After complaints about things like key cards not working, MGM did an internal investigation. As previously mentioned, MGM was the target of a cyber attack. Currently, as of press time, MGM has not revealed whether or not any customers’ personal data has been compromised.
