Michelle Williams responds to fans trying to cancel Cater 2 UOver the weekend, cancel culture came for Destiny’s Child, over their 2005 hit, “Cater 2 U.” On Twitter, there were women taking offense to some of the lyrics being too submissive towards men. Michelle Williams saw this and refused to allow women to cancel the song.

Destiny’s Child reunited, for one final album, in 2004. The album, Destiny Fulfilled, ended up being a classic. Early, in the spring of 2005, Destiny’s Child released the final singles, with “Cater 2 U” being among them, and the album’s biggest hit.

Michelle Williams is now taking on the fans trying to cancel the “Cater 2 U” record. She came for the ladies trying to drag the song, telling them they may have catered to the wrong man. But, in any regard, don’t be mad at Destiny’s Child over it, so let “Cater 2 U” live.
