Yesterday marked the three-year anniversary of the release of Migos’ ‘Culture II’ album. Since then, there have been no albums released by them as a group but instead, each released a solo album in 2018/2019. Many fans have wondered when ‘Culture III‘ would finally be on its way but now, it’s officially on.
Yesterday, Quavo took to Twitter to say “The clock stars now!” in reference to possible putting out Culture III. Now, it appears that this countdown really is on as the group has now released a trailer on social media in preparation for the third installment of the Culture series.
The trailer show displays the group living their lifestyle in their huge homes and concerts as well as incorporating current events in the world. This included last summer’s Black Lives Matter protests.
“We been having time to bond with each other and time to spend, because our solo careers been allowing us to do different things,” said Quavo. “We got relationships, and we growing. “Quarantine been a pro and a con. It’s time for us to crack down and bond and know about our business, get things squared away. No bad feelings, no hard feelings nowhere.”
“Being locked in, you still have stuff to write about,” added Takeoff. “But you’re not out there moving, taking trips, going from state to state. Getting energy from places. It gives you more things to rap about.”
“We were absent for a reason though,” said Offset regarding Migos’ hiatus as a group. “How we were putting so much music out, you could flood the market There’s a lot of things going on right now. I ain’t never been so political in my life. I got my first time voting this year, and all that happens from seeing what’s going on in the world.”
Hopefully, Culture III will be able to be released as soon as the spring. Fans have been anticipating this project since early 2019. Last year, Migos was able to give fans a few new singles with “Taco Tuesday” and “Need It” featuring NBA Youngboy.
