Mike Epps and Chris Tucker appear in same photo for first time

Mike Epps spent most of his career compared to Chris Tucker, due to Friday. In the original Friday film, Chris Tucker played the iconic role of Smokey. Five years later, Ice Cube returned with Next Friday. Much of the original cast did not appear in the sequel. While Friday launched their careers, many of the cast members’ demands were too high. As a result, replacements were made. This meant Mike Epps filled in for Chris Tucker. While the two are often mentioned together, they are never seen together, until now.

Mike Epps formed the duo with Ice Cube that most expected Chris Tucker to do. Not only do they have the Friday franchise, but they also have All About The Benjamins. In addition, Cube and Epps have First Sunday together. While the remaining members of the original Friday film are still alive, fans still want the Last Friday. After the original film, Mike Epps appeared as Cube’s character, Craig’s, cousin Day-Day. Meanwhile, Smokey went to rehab for his “problem.” Day-Day was written as another childhood friend.

Mike Epps has often spoken about his relationship with Chris Tucker. A few years ago, he went on Hot 97 and publicly pleaded for Tucker to agree to do one last Friday film. Publicly, Chris Tucker has never acknowledged Mike Epps. However, this never meant they didn’t have a relationship. Recently, the two were on set together for Martin Lawrence and Will Smith’s latest Bad Boys movie. The two were captured in a photo together by L3 Brand Photography.
