Later this spring, Netflix will have a new sitcom, for the masses. Another family sitcom is soon to hit the streaming service. This one is brought to the people by Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes, who will both serve as executive producer.
The name of the show is “The Upshaws” and it will have both Mike Epps and Kim Fields in the lead, titular roles. Epps will play Bennie, the husband of Regina (Fields). They are the Upshaws, parents of three small children, while Bennie fathered an older son by another woman (Gabrielle Dennis).
Premiering on May 12, on Netflix, “The Upshaws” will star Mike Epps and Kim Fields as Bennie and Regina Upshaw. With Epps serving as executive producer, alongside Wanda Sykes, she will also star as Bennie’s (Epps) sister-in-law. Together, the family, which includes Bennie and Regina’s three children, along with Bennie’s child from a prior relationship with a woman portrayed by Gabrielle Dennis, the Upshaws definitely have the recipe for good entertainment.
