Mike Tyson says man on flight threw water bottle at him
Last night, Mike Tyson got into a serious confrontation, with someone on a JetBlue flight from San Francisco, to Miami. The boxing legend was taking selfies and photos with fans, but one was our of control.
One man reportedly got his selfie and quick conversation, but started talking a lot more, behind Tyson’s seat. He was reportedly intoxicated, and Tyson soon began punching him. The man was soon seen bloodied; and spoke to police after. Tyson ended up leaving the plane, right after.
Reps for Tyson have now told TMZ that this man supposedly threw a water bottle, after harassing Tyson. They added that this man was “aggressive.”
“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him, and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.”
The San Francisco Police Department also confirmed that two people got into that altercation, and detained them. This appeared to refer to Tyson and the man he punched. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and “provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation.”
Tyson, meanwhile, is finally in Miami and will appear at a marijuana industry event, on Thursday night.
