Missy Elliott gives Tweet a special music plaque 

Recently, more and more celebrities are paying tribute to each other, creating memorable moments for fans everywhere. Missy Elliott is one celebrity who understands the importance of showing appreciation, especially to fellow artist. Recently, the legendary producer made a guest appearance at Tweet’s show, giving her a special plaque. That plaque was in reference to Tweet’s 2002 hit single “Oops (Oh My)”, which featured vocals from Missy.

The sound of the 2000’s changed the persona of r&b forever. Although artist from the 90’s started to expand their sounds, new music artist like Tweet kept a soulful approach. Her debut single “Oops (Oh My),” was the leading single from her debut album Southern Hummingbird. That single and album was co-written by Missy Elliott with production by Timbaland. In addition to her own success, she’s worked with a variety of artist including Madonna, Ja Rule, Trina, Bubba Sparxxx and others.

Despite becoming more private in recent years, she still sells out shows everywhere. Her performance at City Winery in Atlanta, Georgia was one to remember for multiple reasons. Aside from receiving her plaque from Missy, her daughter who also is a music artist opened the show. Her daughter Shenice, goes by the stage name of TOU and sounds almost identical to her mother.
