Fifteen years ago, Missy Eliott exploded onto the scene with Supa Dupa Fly, her debut album. With this album, Missy Eliott would forever change the game. From 1997 until 2005, Missy Elliott was the biggest name in female hip hop. A creative genius, Missy Elliott helped compose hits for many artists, among them Ja Rule, Nas, Mary J. Blige, Eve, and more.

Before she became one of the biggest names in music, Missy Elliott was simply another Virginia artist trying to make it. Missy Elliott would release a critically-acclaimed album in the form of Supa Dupa Fly, which many consider one of the best albums ever. While Missy Elliott released many other classic albums, but longtime fans never compare it Supa Dupa Fly.

FUSE TV recently sat down with Missy Elliott and she discussed her debut album. The album contained her single “The Rain.” During the interview, Missy Elliott discussed the making of her music video for the single.
