Mistah F.A.B. talks “Hella Ratchet,” losing his mother, fatherhood, and more with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

A reason Oakland’s hip hop scene is never nonexistent is because it is self-contained, they always have themselves to fall back on. Major label deals have come and gone, but Oakland’s hip hop scene has remained self-reliant. Mistah F.A.B. is one of the biggest stars Oakland ever produced and he did it all on his own.

Last week, Mistah F.A.B. released his Hella Ratchet mixtape and the project features appearances from many big West Coast names. Hella Ratchet features appearances from the veterans, such as Too $hort, but newer artists like Ty Dolla $ign also are on the tape. Mistah F.A.B. has received strong reviews for his new mixtape.

Recently, Mistah F.A.B. appeared in New York City and he went through his regular rounds with the media. Hella Ratchet was the topic of discussion when Angela Yee, DJ Envy, and Charlamagne Tha God sat down with him for “The Breakfast Club” at Power 105.1. In the interview, he also spoke on losing his mother and being a father.
