Long before “Love & Hip Hop” took over VH1, Flavor Flav breathed new life into the network. Back then, Celebreality was the going thing and it was Flavor Flav, out of all people, who became the star. “Flavor of Love” put VH1 on the map with all the craziness.

VH1 did all they could to capitalize on the “Flavor of Love” success, even putting ex cast members on a show called “Charm School.” Lasting for three seasons, “Charm School” was another ratings winner. But, when the Celebreality era ended, so did it.

Mona Scott-Young has been the go to content creator for VH1 since 2011 and that is not going to change. “Love & Hip Hop” now has three shows under the title and shows with K. Michelle, Stevie J and Joseline, and a rumored Erica Mena show. What comes next?, apparently a “Love & Hip Hop: Charm School,” an idea reportedly being floated around.
