Moneybagg Yo gave Bread Gang chain to Ja Morant after Grizzlies game

Prior to the weekend, Moneybagg Yo took to his Instagram feed to show off a custom iced out Bread Gang chain. This was made for Memphis Grizzlies star, Ja Morant. Moneybagg is also a Memphis native, and one of the biggest rappers in the industry. At the time, Moneybagg said in his Instagram stories “Come get yo trophy. Proud of ya bra #Big12.”

Now, Morant is officially in possession of this Bread Gang chain. He ended up receiving this chain after Game 1 of the Grizzlies’ 130-117 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, on Saturday afternoon, per TMZ. Moneybagg was actually court side at the game, and gave it to Morant in person.

A fan on Twitter did question why Moneybagg gave the chain to the superstar player after a loss. The CMG artist said that people have to accept their losses like they do with their wins. Moneybagg added that he views Morant as a champion, and he’s been putting on for Memphis regardless.

Morant has been one of the best players in the NBA this season, as he helped lead Memphis to a 56-26 record, and the second seed in the Western Conference. Morant averaged 27 points, five rebounds and six assists in the regular season. On Saturday, he posted 32 points, eight assists, and four rebounds.
