More posthumous Pop Smoke music will reportedly be released in 2022

It’s been almost two years now, since Pop Smoke was shot and killed in Hollywood Hills. The rising Brooklyn rapper was only 20 at the time, and already had a lot of momentum with his music. 12 days before his murder, Pop released his “Meet The Woo 2“mixtape, which drew positive acclaim, on social media.

Two posthumous albums by Pop have since been released, since 2020. Both ended up debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The fan reaction for “Faith” in July 2020 didn’t get a very positive reaction from fans though, due to the collaborations on this project not fitting what a Pop Smoke album should sound like.

Now, more posthumous music by Pop will also reportedly be released this year. One of Pop’s producers, 808 Melo, said on Instagram: “New music 2022. #LLPS” As of now, it’s unclear when this material will be out, as this comes after rumors that Pop’s team had already put out all of the late rapper’s music.

Pop’s “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon” album continues to be the hottest piece of posthumous material from Pop. That went on to be released on his birthday, back in July 2020.
