Over the past fourteen years, Mya has enjoyed a great career, working with many of the biggest names in both music and film. Among those Mya has worked with throughout her career include Mase, Silkk the Shocker, Jadakiss, Jay-Z, and others. Along the way, Mya became a fan-favorite, earning much success on Billboard, leading them to name her number 97 on their list of top 100 artists of the 2000s.

A powerhouse in the recording industry, Mya also has experienced success on the big screen, being featured in several urban films. As an actress, Mya has also been met with critical acclaim, winning an award for ‘Best Frightened Scene’ at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards. In 2009, Mya joined “Dancing with the Stars” and finished in second place.

Last night, Hip Hop Vibe had the opportunity to sit down with Mya, speaking with her about more-recent topics. Mya is fresh off the release of her sixth studio album, K.I.S.S. and is preparing for more acting roles over the next few months.
