Mystikal prepares to release “Original” album in 2013

Hip hop in 2012 will go down in history as an overall good year for hip hop. There was, of course, the emergence of several new stars. But, there was also returns from many of the biggest past stars in hip hop. During the early days of 2012, Mystikal began making his comeback run.

In December of 2011, Birdman made a major announcement when he revealed that two veterans had signed to Cash Money Records. Birdman announced Busta Rhymes and Mystikal were now YMCMB. Mystikal released his “Original” single and music video, featuring Lil Wayne and Birdman.

Mystikal shifted into another gear before the end of spring, but he ended up getting sent to prison for three months, due to a probation violation. Gone for the summer, Mystikal dropped a mixtape, Origins. Now, Mystikal is making up for 2012’s blunder by preparing his album for a 2013 release.
