Early this year saw Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and “black-ish” win big at the 47th Annual NAACP Image Awards. The ceremony celebrated a very big year in black entertainment. Of course, next year’s show, the 48th Annual NAACP Image Awards has one major topic.
Anthony Anderson will be hosting the show, once again, and he has plenty of antics planned for the show. With February 11 being the premiere date, the nominations have been announced. On television, networks ABC and HBO lead, and Beyonce leads in the music.
LeBron James is set to win the Jackie Robinson Sports Award, meanwhile Chance The Rapper and Kendrick Lamar have four nominations to Beyonce’s seven. Solange has five nominations to Danny Glover and Nate Parker’s three nominations. The full list can be found here.
