‘Coming 2 America‘ is finally going to be released this Friday, March 5. The film will be available to be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime. This comes almost 33 years after its original release date. The original film starred Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall as their performances were praised worldwide.
Now, official merchandise for ‘Coming 2 America‘ has arrived just in time for the release of the film. Murphy and Nas got together on creating this apparel. Some of the items available are t-shirts, sweatshirts, joggers, and more. They are available at HSTRY’s online store here.
“I’ve been a huge fan since the original movie came out in 1988. Our brand HSTRY is all about celebrating history, with an emphasis on Black History, African History and Royalty,” Nas said in a statement about the collaboration. “With this collab we aimed to capture that royal essence of Zamunda while representing the street style of Queens NY to the WORLD.”
Murphy and Nas also recently sat down with Complex to discuss Coming 2 America. Murphy detailed his role in the original film and Nas praised how an all-Black cast in the first one was so successful worldwide. Check it out below.
