Making up for last year, Nas has every intention of releasing his Life is Good album before the end of 2012. Restarting the promotion of his album, Nas has released his new single, “The Don.” The title of the song may come off as Nas boasting of his success, something which must have been noticed by the IRS.

The IRS has filed documents in Georgia to garnish Nas’ earnings, through BMI and ASCAP, to get the $6 million he owes. Previously, it was reported Nas also owes over $330,000 to the IRS for earnings made in 2010, which went unpaid. Aside from this, Nas has also been battling Kelis in court over his earnings.

With negativity surrounding his personal life, Nas has continued to record new music, focusing on the positive. Four years have passed since Nas last released a solo album and fans are eagerly awaiting a new release. Regardless of his personal life, Nas has every intention of releasing his new album this year.
