For the first time in his career, Nas can say he is Grammy-nominated. The Queens emcee is nominated alongside Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco, and others at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. Nas finds himself nominated for a Grammy due to the efforts of his comeback album, Life is Good.

Fans and critics, alike, have agreed that either Nas’ Life is Good or Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city served as the best albums of 2012. Kendrick Lamar previously hailed Nas’ Life is Good as 2012’s best album. Many are now questioning when Nas’ next album will come.

Nas talked to The Associated Press about 2012. Much like Kendrick Lamar did, Nas credited the young Los Angeles rapper for crafting his favorite rap album of 2012. Answering the question about making new music, Nas is not going to let another four years pass before he releases another album. “In the zone,” Nas is likely to have another album released this year.
