Nas talks Grammys, Kelis, CNN, and more with Angie Martinez on Hot 97 [VIDEO]
If there had to be an immediate conversation/debate about the king of New York, the title definitely would have to go to Nas. Spending twenty-plus years in this rap game, Nas has brushed shoulders with the likes of Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., and many others. A series of circumstances has left Nas the only consistent emcee standing in this new era.
Life is Good is considered by many as 2013’s best album, good enough to gain him four nominations at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. Nas’ personal life inspired this music, as he kept saying “life is good” to himself when things got tough. A frequent topic on the album was Kelis and this album led CNN to crown Nas ‘Greatest Lyricist of All-Time.’
Yesterday, Nas stopped in to speak with Angie Martinez on Hot 97. Nas would talk about the Grammy nominations during the interview. In addition to his Grammy nominations, the Queens rapper also spoke on making amends with Kelis. Lastly, Nas would address the CNN situation, along with more.
