Nas talks “Life is Good” album cover with MTV News [VIDEO]

While Life is Good is not discussed as much as Nas’ previous effort, Untitled, the album has been the source of much discussion. The album is Nas tenth effort, which is why the album has received so much publicity. But, to have been making music for so long and to still be popular, Nas continues to prove his legendary status.

During his hiatus, Nas has continued to make news. The veteran emcee went through a high-profile divorce and has had a number of personal problems. Nas drew upon all of them for his new album. His song, “Daughters,” is based on the actions of his own daughter and how Nas blames himself, in the end.

Nas has not mentioned if he directly mentions Kelis on the new album, but she is referenced on the Life is Good album cover. On the cover, Nas is holding the dress Kelis wore during their wedding. During a previous interview, Nas spoke of how she left it behind during their divorce. Searching the house, Nas found it and decided to use it for his album. Nas also mentioned this during his interview with MTV News.
