Hip hop fans should be happy with Life is Good, as Nas has delivered the closest thing to a perfect album hip hop will likely receive in 2012. Life is Good was the breath of fresh air many critics felt the game has needed for some time. While the album is great, many fans were wondering what happened to the song Nas promised with Frank Ocean.
Frank Ocean has experienced much success over the past year, both as a solo artist with Nostalgia and as a member of Odd Future. Recently, Frank Ocean made headlines when he revealed the romantic feelings he had for another man. Members of the hip hop community have supported Frank Ocean, who had the opening lines on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne.
Nas spoke to MTV News about his collaboration with Frank Ocean, “No Such Thing as White Jesus,” which did not appear on Life is Good. In the interview, Nas revealed he reached out to his Def Jam label-mate close to two years before he landed major collaborations. The two talked about recording, but it has yet to happen. Perhaps on the next Nas or Frank Ocean album?
