Arguably the most-impressive comeback this year has been Nas, who will return with his tenth studio album, Life is Good, tomorrow. Last year, Nas announced he would release Life is Good, his first album since 2008. However, despite a strong start, which included the long-awaited collaboration with Common, Nas failed to release his album.

This spring, Nas returned with new music and revealed Life is Good would be released during the summer of 2012. With his Damian Marley album aside, this is Nas’ first release in four years. In these past four years, Nas has watched the game change. As hip hop has changed, Nas changed his approach with this new album.

For the first time in his career, Nas will not feature a DJ Premier collaboration on his album. On the other hand, Nas worked with Rick Ross and Maybach Music. Earlier today, Nas spoke with Young and Restless for their “Music Monday.” During the interview, Nas explained why he did not collaborate with DJ Premier, his work with Rick Ross and Maybach Music, and the Golden era of hip hop.
