Since 2013, fans have patiently waited for Nas to drop a follow-up album. In 2012, Nas dropped his long-awaited album, Life is Good, and it is regarded as a classic. That album followed a four-year hiatus, after which Nas said he was inspired and had many more albums coming.

Ultimately, Nas ended up going on a six year hiatus. But, this span of time saw him expand his business portfolio, purchasing Mass Appeal magazine, creating a label from it, and expanding into the tech industry. There was also him and Jay-Z meeting with Mark Zuckerberg.

When it comes to the music, though, fans have patiently waited for Nas to drop. But, tonight, at 9pm EST, via YouTube, Nas drops Nasir, which people are awaiting. The album drops via Mass Appeal/Def Jam, on the heels of his new partnership announcement with Universal Music Group.
