Five years ago, Lil B shocked the hip hop world when he announced his album, I’m Gay, later retitled I’m Gay (I’m Happy). The West Coast rapper seemed a little eccentric, at the time. But, it turns out, Lil B was ahead of his time, helping to usher in this current trend.
Lil B is a fan favorite on social media, but a lot of his outrageous claims have come true. During his I’m Gay run, Lil B gained a major detractor in Kevin Durant of the OKC Thunder. After being called “wack” by the NBA star, Lil B placed a curse on him and his franchise.
Because the Thunder were in the middle of their second-ever playoff run and benefiting of a Spurs squad defeated early, no one thought of the curse, as Dallas was a favorite to win. But, the Thunder have come up short every year, including a 2012 Finals run, and are now on the brink vs. Golden State after leading Steph 3-1. Now, the fans say Kevin Durant needs to end this curse, on Twitter.
