NBA Youngboy has been in jail in his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA after being arrested in Miami during Rolling Loud weekend last month. His entourage was allegedly involved in a shootout with Tee Grizzley’s with him possibly being involved. Youngboy’s lawyer said that he never let any shots off. When he got to Baton Rouge, a judge ruled that he violated his probation regarding a 2016 shooting case with the incident in Miami.

According to WAFB 9, a judge has ordered that Youngboy stay in jail for two more months. The original time frame was 90 days but he’s already served 30 of it. After the release, he will be put on house arrest for the rest of his probationary period.

Due to the house arrest, Youngboy won’t be able to perform at any shows. He will be wearing a GPS monitor. Conditions of his probation were that he doesn’t get arrested or convicted of any crimes. That plea deal in 2016 for this probation also included three years of it and a suspended 10-year prison sentence.

Youngboy is one of the highest-streaming hip-hop artists and it’s sad that he’s still on the wrong path outside of music with his constant legal issues. He needs some older heads around him that can put him on game about the right decisions and guide him.
