NBA Youngboy’s “Sincerely, Kentrell” Album, Debuts at Number One, on Billboard 200 Chart; Ends Drake’s Three-Week Run
For four consecutive weeks now, Drake’s sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” has been at the top spot of the Billboard 200 chart. It was also the first rap album of 2021 to reach this milestone. It contained 21 tracks, including the chart-topping “Way 2 Sexy” single, ft. Future and Young Thug.
Last week, NBA Youngboy released his first project of the year, in “Sincerely, Kentrell.” This album was released, as the Louisiana rapper is still incarcerated, on gun charges, stemming from a September 2020 arrest. Youngboy was then arrested, in Los Angeles, this past March.
Sincerely, Kentrell is now the number one album in the US, as it has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. According to Chart Data, the album sold 138,000 units, in its first week. CLB is at number two, with 135,000 units.
Sincerely, Kentrell contained zero features, and 21 tracks in total. This is also the third number one project for Youngboy, since April 2020. The others were “38 Baby 2,” and “Top.”
