NC Chick-Fil-A accused of not hiring Black girl over her hair

A Raleigh, North Carolina woman said she took her goddaughter out to lunch and overheard the unthinkable. At this day and age, a lot of nonsense still goes on, but she was shocked to see Chick-Fil-A refuse to hire a young Black woman. The reason for not hiring the young lady is what was most disappointing. It turns out, the woman claims the Chick-Fil-A refused to hire the young woman due to her wearing “natural hair.”

Over the past decade and a half, there has been a celebration of Black America. At the core of this celebration has been Black hair. As a result, more young Black women have been encouraged to rock their natural hair. This means the hair is much bigger and there are far more curls, as opposed to having straightened hair. After all, the hair texture is different and it takes a lot of work to get Black hair to lay down.

So, an unnamed young woman from Raleigh has been all of the talk on Facebook. A woman who took her goddaughter out to lunch at a local Chick-Fil-A overheard a conversation from the restaurant’s employees about hiring her. The people in charge of the hiring were criticizing the girl for wearing her “natural hair.” When it came to actually hiring the young woman, according to the Facebook post, they were likely to overlook the young lady, due to her “natural hair.”
