The advancements of the hip hop culture have shown in 2015. In many ways, the year of 2015 is the biggest year in hip hop, as the culture has adapted to the changes. Perhaps the biggest win is “Empire,” a hip hop-themed show, being the biggest show of the TV season.
“Empire” stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson as a hip hop power couple who runs a record label. They, and the other cast members, make music that plays on the show. The music is performed by Timbaland, who is obviously an icon in the industry.
Lee Daniels is negotiating with FOX about certain season two details. He has also added more to the music side of “Empire.” Added to the production is Ne-Yo, who has enjoyed well over a decade in the industry as a songwriter and producer and a singer for the past nine years.
