Nelly apologizes for intimate video leak on Instagram
Tonight, Nelly trended on Twitter for what has to have only been a handful of times. In the current era, Nelly isn’t much of a factor. Make no mistake, Nelly reached heights in music that most of the current rappers will never touch. It’s hard to imagine any current rapper selling 7 million physical copies in the United States, alone.
Nelly hasn’t been relevant during the era of social media, however. The St. Louis rapper still has a massive net worth and is often touring. Because of his collection of hits, Nelly is always touring, as he made classic records. But, in the 2010s, Nelly was in the headlines more for his relationship with Ashanti than for the music.
This evening, Nelly accidentally leaked an intimate video of him with a new woman. The video went viral, as the woman was providing Nelly a service, which ended up on Instagram. Social media can be very petty, as people had Ashanti trending, due to Nelly’s video. Nelly saw himself trending and saw what happened on his Instagram. Speaking to TMZ, Nelly issued an apology to the fans and the woman in the video, over the leak, and says he has a team investigating what happened.
