Nelly brings out Murphy Lee during Las Vegas show
A common theme of reunion is bringing back classic music and memorable collaborations. One popular collaboration recently resurfaced and is now a viral moment. Nelly recently brought out rapper Murphy Lee during his Las Vegas show at TAO Beach Day club. Rapping one of his number one singles “Air Force Ones”, Murphy Lee joined Nelly on stage with fans in shock.
Nelly is still selling out shows all across the world every year. Often named as one of the most influential rappers of the 2000’s, Nelly’s St. Louis flare took hip-hop over. His now diamond debut album Country Grammar, was one of the first hip-hop albums to top the charts in the new millennium. His second album Nellyville, contained hits like “Hot In Here”, “Dilemma” featuring Kelly Rowland and “Air Force Ones”. Throughout his career he’s collaborated with Akon, Jermaine Dupri, Ciara, Tim McGraw, Jagged Edge, Janet Jackson and so many others.
In addition to his solo accomplishments, Nelly helped bring his rap group The St.Lunatics into mainstream. This group consisted of Nelly, Murphy Lee, Ali, Kyjuan, City Spud and Slo Down. Although the group’s run in music was short lived, their influence in hip-hop shaped the early 2000’s. In recent years Murphy Lee has spoken about his career, however this was the first time he’s performed with Nelly in years. St. Lunatics member Kyjuan was also present during Nelly’s Las Vegas show.
