The music world is still buzzing with excitement from the news of singer Ashanti and husband Nelly welcoming their first baby together. Earlier this year the Grammy-winning singer announced her pregnancy after the pair rekindled their relationship. Now, the newly weds are in full baby mode as Nelly took the lead surprising Ashanti with a baby shower. In a room filled with family and friends, the two were greeted with love and laughter.

Nelly and Ashanti’s relationship is the definition of break-up to make-up. From 2003 to 2013, the two were one of the top “it” couples in Hollywood. Although they never publicly spoke about what lead to the break-up, fans believed they would reunite. Rumors of the two rekindling their love surfaced shortly after the Fat Joe and JaRule Verzuz that aired live on Instagram in 2021.

Nonetheless, the duo is proving that second chances can work out in the end. The surprise baby shower took place at the Dolce & Gabbana children’s boutique in New York City.
